Livestock Commission Agent
About
Livestock commission agents may focus on the buy or sell side of the market. They're responsible for either selling livestock at stockyards as an agent for the livestock owner, or making purchases on behalf of an organization like a supermarket, food wholesaler, or hospitality company.
On both sides, agents will review inventory levels of current stock, analyze historical data, identify buyers or suppliers, and keep up to date with trends and changes affecting supply of and demand for livestock.
