A Nanodegree is a form of educational program with a credential. Nanodegrees are usually project and skills-based, and are often backed or validated by companies in industries relating to the degree. The majority of current Nanodegrees are in technical fields. A Nanodegree coordinator is responsible for overseeing the design of the program, bring in partner companies, recruiting and enrolling students, and monitoring outcomes.
