Military analysts are experts of military strategy and operations, technology, military history, and national defense. They're primarily responsible for the analysis, processing and distribution of strategic and tactical intelligence through various types of research, briefings, and written assessments. Analysts most often work within a nation's military, but may also be employed by policymakers, private consulting firms, think tanks, or specialist publications.
