Talent agents represent professional artists, actors, writers, performers, musicians, athletes, business executives, and intellectuals.
Agents typically act as a middleman between the talent they represent and people looking to hire them. Their role includes networking and attending social events; visiting clients at their studio, set, or other place of work; and selling their clients' talents to prospective buyers.
The type of work an agent does depends on the type of clients they represent. Most agents will focus on one area such as music or film, although some operate across a number of disciplines.
